spouse at least once and have a genuine intention to marry. The general
requirements for the Prospective Marriage Visa are:
-
You must be sponsored by:
-
an Australian citizen

an eligible
New Zealand citizen;
-
You must be both free to
marry, and of a marriageable age;

character requirements.
A Prospective Marriage
Visa is a temporary visa and is valid for 9 months from the date of
grant, during which time, you must enter Australia and marry your
fiancé/sponsor.
Once you are married you become eligible to apply for an Onshore Spouse
Visa.
Refusal of a Prospective Marriage Visa gives rise to a right to review
