• Have an internationally recognized record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in their chosen profession, the arts, sport, research or academia;
• Are internationally recognized and prominent within your profession;
• Will be an asset to the Australian community, in terms of your potential social, economic or cultural contribution to Australia; and
• Will not have any difficulty finding a job or becoming established in Australia within your field.

You will need to be nominated by:

• An Australian citizen/permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, who is nationally prominent within your field, or
• An Australian organization that is either the peak body, or nationally prominent within your field.

You will need to meet relevant health and character requirements, and may lodge your application in Australia (if you hold a qualifying visa) or at an overseas post.
